Our training focuses on joy and experiential learning to alleviate people’s ‘fear of getting it wrong’ when it comes to EDI.

“Ali has a style which makes them command a room, but also makes everyone feel comfortable in sharing and probing. They bring humour and coherence to a topic that is still approached with a lack of understanding, and subsequently with trepidation, in parts of the corporate world. They encouraged the most challenging questions possible, in order to really “myth bust” and create a platform for intrinsic learning.”

Disrupting Gender

This session is designed to tackle one of the most complicated and often misunderstood social issues facing us today. The session provides a foundation of understanding about trans and non-binary lives, an overview of the business case for diversity and how gender is something that affects everyone; for better and for worse. We explore the use of pronouns, why it matters and how everyday behaviours can affect positive and long-lasting cultural change.

Banter in the Workplace

This session is designed to examine humour and how it manifests in the workplace, and how colleagues can reflect on whether it is benign and affiliative, or has the potential to alienate others. Through the lens of humour, it examines how codes, ‘banter’ and ‘in jokes’ can both bring people together and create cliques. This course develops self-awareness and equips participants with the skills to challenge inappropriate banter.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

Exploring LGBTQ+ identities, the barriers still faced by these communities and what organisations can do to attract and engage LGBTQ+ talent. This session explores the Equalities Act 2010, the role individuals can plan in allyship and how policy and procedure can be developed to reflect LGBTQ+ experiences better. The format is designed to be positive, inspiring and joyful with a clear call to action to teams and individuals.

Cultures of Belonging

This workshop will help participants to explore the foundations of equality, diversity and inclusion to better understand how they can contribute to creating a sense of ‘belonging’ within their teams. This is about realising the potential of diversity by creating an environment where everyone can contribute fully, feel safe and be confident. This session empowers staff to identify their role in creating belonging and inclusion.

Inclusive Talent & Recruitment

This session is a tailored session designed to give HR professionals and hiring leaders the skills and confidence to build more inclusive recruitment practices and mitigate unconscious bias in their decision-making. Exploring the entire employee lifecycle, this session will provide a practical way to embed inclusion into every touchpoint of the employee experience. This will include case studies and an introduction to theory.

Unconscious Bias

With over 130 types of unconscious bias impacting the way we behave, it can feel like an insurmountable challenge to overcome when making our decision-making more equitable. This session takes a practical and honest approach to tackling bias, inviting participants to build a long-term plan for assessing their own ways of thinking and identifying interventions that work for them and their team and eliminating the fear of getting things wrong. This session helps to build a culture of acceptance and accountability.

A practical session focussing on traits vs. labels.
